Paintless Dent Repair

Paintless auto dent repair (PDR) is a cheaper and better way to remove dents in your vehicle’s body. It is quicker, does not void the manufacturer’s warranty for paint, and insurance companies love it. It only works if certain conditions apply.

You push a grocery cart out to your car. There’s a dent in the door of your car that wasn’t there before. Your heart begins to race, and your mind keeps pace with it. How? What’s this going to cost? Is the paint going to chip off? Will the door start to rust out now?

What Is Traditional Dent Repair?

In some cases, traditional means of dent repair are necessary. The process involves using a hammer to beat the metal back into shape again, filling any imperfections, then sanding and painting the repaired area.

What Is Paintless Dent Repair?

The basic premise is that dents can be repaired without hammering and damaging the finish on a vehicle. The process is sometimes simple, sometimes not. It involves repairing a dent by massaging the metal back into shape from the inside or applying a reverse force with paint-sensitive hot glue and pins to pull the dent back.

PDR is not for amateurs. Our technicians are highly trained and given hours of hands-on experience to develop the patience, knowledge, and expertise necessary to provide this service to our customers.

Will Paintless Dent Repair Work On All Dents?

If paint damage exists, the PDR technique can remove the dent, but the paint damage will need repair. The repair will only be paintless if there are no chips or damage to the paint. Also, PDR on dents very close to the edges of a panel may not be possible. Finally, since the process generally works from the inside out, some parts of the car will not be accessible.

Why Go With PDR?

  • Paintless dent repair is significantly cheaper.
  • Some insurance companies will waive your deductible if you choose PDR.
  • Since no painting is needed, the time required for repairs is shorter. We can repair some dents while you wait.
  • Since the vehicle paint is not affected, the manufacturer will not void the warranty covering your vehicle’s paint.
